In June 2018, Therme Art Program announced its partnership with Design Miami/, the international and globally recognized forum for contemporary and historic design. For Design Miami’s 2018 Miami edition in December 2018, Therme Art Program served as partner and co-host of the design fair’s esteemed Talks program, presenting discussions on the design world’s most compelling topics with its Therme Forum talks series.
Therme Art Program commissioned famed architect Francis Kéré to design the Talks Theater, creating a more holistic context for the program, which brought together the most influential collectors, gallerists, designers, curators, and critics from around the world in celebration of design, culture, and commerce.
In partnership with Design Miami/ for a second consecutive year, Therme Art Program presented an edition of its Therme Forum talk series during the international fair’s Basel edition. In keeping with Design Miami/ Basel’s 2019 curatorial theme, Elements: Earth, which responded to the impact of human activity on the nature of our planet, the Therme Forum examined how artists can take more responsibility from urban planners, architects, and engineers to re-envision sustainable and inclusive cities for the future.
