Michaela de Pury is Founder of Michaela de Pury, an advisory company specialising in building art and design collections, consulting established collectors and institutions, together with facilitating private transactions of impressionist, modern, post war, and contemporary art and design. She conceives exhibitions and is active in the branding and curation of artistic, cultural and real estate projects, as well as supporting and advising emerging artists. She works alongside major luxury companies, spearheading their art branding and collaborations.
Michaela has a particular interest in African culture. Since 2016, she sits on the board of the Africa Center and is global ambassador for Space for Giants. Michaela was until 2012, Senior Director at Phillips de Pury & Company and before that, Senior Partner. She joined the firm in 2001. During this time, she secured major consignments and private transactions surrounding key works in all sales categories of contemporary art, design and photography. Prior to joining Phillips de Pury, she was the CEO of Neumeister Auctions in New York, the leading Munich auction company that was founded by her father Rudolf Neumeister.
