The British Council is a British organisation specialising in international cultural and educational opportunities. It works in over 100 countries promoting a wider knowledge of the United Kingdom and the English language to encourage cultural, scientific, technological, and educational co-operation with the United Kingdom, changing people’s lives through access to education, skills, qualifications, culture, and society.

In September 2018, Therme Art announced its support of the British Council at the British Pavilion during the 16th Venice Architecture Biennale. To mark the launch, a Therme Forum panel discussion titled Free Future Cities was presented at the British Pavilion within their Island program, featuring leading voices in art, architecture, and science about the future of architecture and city planning.

Subsequently, Therme Art announced its support of the British Council for the 2019 British Pavilion at the 58th La Biennale di Venezia, building further on its close relationship with the cultural organisation for a second consecutive year.

Therme Art’s partnership with the British Council aims to extend its mission of supporting the art community, contributing to an open dialogue to create sustainable solutions for our future cities through innovations in art and architecture.
