On the occasion of Miami Art Week 2023, Therme Art and SFER IK co-hosted the Wellbeing Culture Forum, Art in Nature: Creating Our Ancestral Future, within Rafael Lozano-Hemmer’s Pulse Topology installation at Superblue Miami. The discussion delved into the intricate relationship between art, technology, and nature, highlighting how ancestral wisdom is a vital repository of knowledge for shaping an environmentally sustainable future. Key talking points addressed inter-species collaboration, integration of ancestral knowledge, environmental symbiosis, and the ethical use of technology.

Panellists Marcello Dantas, Roth, Mollie Dent-Brocklehurst, and András Szántó drew from their experiences in navigating the intersection of art, technology, and ecology. The discussion aimed to inspire artists to rethink their creative endeavours, promoting responsible innovation that aligns harmoniously with the natural world.

This talk was presented as part of Therme Art’s Miami Art Week 2023 programming in partnership with Superblue. Following the talk, artist Antoine Bertin was announced as winner of the SFER IK Awards 2023: Art In Nature. Learn more about the artist’s work here.
