In the spring of 2024, Therme Art brought Jeppe Hein’s Today I Feel Like… workshop to 87 school children in Bucharest, Romania. Part of an ongoing project, the workshop provides young participants with creative tools to explore and visually express their emotions.
As with previous editions, the session in Bucharest began with a meditative breathing exercise designed to foster presence and self-awareness. Under Hein’s guidance, the children were then encouraged to translate their inner states into watercolour self-portraits, each one a personal reflection of their emotions in that moment.
This new collection of works from Bucharest becomes part of the growing Today I Feel Like… archive, offering a vivid snapshot of the diverse and ever-shifting inner worlds of young people. By sharing and documenting these portraits, the project continues to affirm the universality of human emotions and the importance of recognizing and giving form to them.
