The Wellbeing Culture Forum was launched by Therme Art in 2020 as a response to the global Covid-19 pandemic, establishing a platform for shared cultural dialogue at a moment of profound social and environmental disruption. Conceived as a space for interdisciplinary inquiry, the Forum brings together leading voices from the arts, architecture, ecology, science, and culture to explore solution-oriented ideas for building cities and societies that exist in symbiosis with the natural world
Through collaborations with institutions such as the Serpentine, Manchester International Festival, KÖNIG GALERIE, and the British Council, the Forum has hosted a broad range of public and private conversations. These dialogues have featured internationally recognised figures including Es Devlin, Tino Sehgal, Junya Ishigami, Sonia Boyce, Stefano Mancuso, Sumayya Vally, Torkwase Dyson, and Virgil Abloh, among many others.
Across its programmes, the Wellbeing Culture Forum examines how art and architecture can shape more equitable and sustainable modes of living. Its conversations explore the liberating potential of artistic thinking within architectural practice, the role of ecological insight in designing urban frameworks, and the transformative power of immersive and multisensory experience in reconnecting people with place, nature, and one another. The Forum also considers how creative and spatial practices support mental wellbeing, strengthen communities, and expand cultural imaginaries, inspiring conversations that reimagine how we design, inhabit, and care for the environments that sustain us.
